Our Story

Welcome to Women Are Heroes Too: Nurturing Healing, Employment Empowerment & Community for Women Veterans

Here at Women Are Heroes Too, we've created a haven, a sanctuary exclusively for our women veterans and their companion. These brave individuals have not only worn the uniform of our country but also carry the roles of sisters, aunts, mothers, and cherished companions. Our goal is to forge an unbreakable sisterhood, a tribe where connections to inner peace and healing are nurtured.

We recognize that the path to healing isn't always linear, and not every woman gets the chance to address the emotional pain and hidden traumas they've endured.

At Women Are Heroes Too, we extend an empathetic hand, inviting you to share your stories, your experiences, and your journey to recovery. You're never alone in this process. We offer holistic healing that comes naturally, enveloping you in a supportive and understanding community.

And that's not all. At Women Are Heroes Too, we're not just interested in being part of your journey; we want to walk alongside you every step of the way. Through our partnerships, we provide opportunities for employment, ensuring that you have access to meaningful job prospects that align with your skills and aspirations.

Since 2023, Women Are Heroes Too has been dedicated to supporting women veterans by providing healing, empowerment, and employment opportunities.

As you become part of our tribe, you're joining a collective dedicated to healing, empowerment, and growth. Whether you're sharing your story, participating in our workshops, or exploring employment avenues, know that you're never alone. Together, we heal, learn, and rise.

Happy Healing.

Looking Ahead: Resuming Our Mission Together

WOMEN ARE HEROES TOO
October 2024

Dear Supporters,

I hope this message finds you in great spirits!  I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to explain why we have paused our community-based projects this past year and to express my sincere appreciation for your ongoing support.

Over the last year, our organization faced unexpected challenges, particularly as our president bravely battled a health issue—where her brain was mimicking a brain tumor.  This situation necessitated a pause in our operations so we could focus on recovery and well-being, both for our president and for our team. It was a difficult decision, and prioritizing health and healing was essential.

We understand that this pause may have caused disappointment within our community, and for that, I sincerely apologize. Our commitment to empowering women veterans has never wavered, and we are grateful for your understanding and encouragement during this time. Your support has been invaluable and reminds us of the strength we are as a community.

As we look ahead,  I’m excited to share that we plan to resume our community-based projects in 2025! We are eager to reconnect and continue our mission of uplifting and advocating for women veterans.

Thank you for being an essential part of our journey. Your support means the world to us, and I genuinely look forward to the bright days ahead as we continue to champion the voices and experiences of women veterans.

With  heartfelt appreciation,
WAH2ORG
